Position: Irrigation, Service, Turf Technician
Job Responsibilities:
As an Irrigation and Service Technician at PL, you'll play a vital role in promoting the health and beauty of lawns and landscapes. Your responsibilities will include:
- Troubleshooting, servicing, and repairing irrigation, lighting, pond, and other systems.
- Completing service calls and system checks promptly.
- Ensuring the overall health and development of healthy plant growth and turf.
- Addressing client concerns related to proper watering and safety.
- Checking and repairing low voltage landscape lighting systems.
- Servicing garden ponds and waterfalls.
- Proactively seeking ways to enhance the beauty and value of our clients' properties and outdoor living environments.
This position reports to the president or assistant and does not involve supervising other team members daily.
Qualifications:
Required:
- 2 years’ experience as an Irrigation and Service Technician
- 1 year experience in turf care applications
- Excellent verbal communication skills and the ability to build rapport.
- Strong observational and analytical problem-solving skills.
- A customer-centric approach with sincere concern for customer needs.
- Ability to meet with customers, inspect, diagnose, and provide solutions for lawn and plant issues.
- Monitoring service progress and taking corrective actions as needed.
- Research skills to ensure proper system operation.
- Responsiveness to customer service calls and ensuring satisfactory resolutions.
- Dedication to building strong customer relationships and promoting quality work, integrity, and professionalism.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
Preferred:
- Knowledge of regional plants, irrigation, drainage, turf, and lighting systems.
- NC Backflow Testing Certification
Licenses:
- Valid North Carolina driver's license (insurable, not suspended or revoked).
